he order includes personal lockers (textile storage compartments) for more than 2,000 employees. These will be installed as part of the new replacement building at the KSW in two steps from mid-2019 until the beginning of 2020. After a previous pilot project, in which the personal Zippsafe system was compared with impersonal lockers, the KSW decided on the innovative solution for several reasons: First, because of the significantly higher space efficiency and, at the same time, better employee acceptance. On the other hand, digital key management simplifies internal processes. Additional functions such as integrated ventilation or the separate storage of shoes have been developed specifically for high hygienic requirements in the area of employee coat racks while at the same time increasing user-friendliness.
Quote Angelika Züst (Head of Housekeeping, KSW): «We opted for Zippsafe because our employees clearly preferred this solution over conventional impersonal locker systems, which would have been available in tight spaces. We tested the Zippsafe system for several months. The combination of space efficiency, process optimization and user-friendliness convinced us.»
Thanks to its volume, the order has a special significance for the start-up company Zippsafe. Carlo Loderer (CEO, Zippsafe AG):
«The major contract from the Cantonal Hospital Winterthur is particularly important for us on two levels: It confirms both the added value of our innovation and the high level of expertise of our young Swiss company».
Zippsafe AG is a young technology company, which originated in 2015 from ETH. With a focus on continuous innovation and simplicity, Zippsafe sets new standards in flexible storage solutions.
